PPC Makes for Quick Clicks

It’s one thing to have a great looking website and it’s another thing to have people actually see it. Just as you would with a brick and mortar store, you have to promote your website in order to get people to it. One of the easiest ways in which to do that is by using PPC.

PPC stands for pay per click and is a sure way to get visitors to your website quickly. PPC works by you using search engines like Google and bidding on keywords. If you win the bid then you can create an advertisement that will be displayed on the right hand side of the search results.

If the keyword you bid on and won is ‘dog food’ for example, your advertisement will come up randomly when someone searches for that term. If they click your advertisement, they are taken to your website and you are charged for that click. If they don’t click your advertisement, then you are charged nothing.

How much you are charged will all depend on what your winning bid was. So, PPC does represent an investment on your part, but many forms of advertising do. However, one key difference is only paying when your advertisement is clicked on. If you take out an ad in the Yellow Pages for instance, you are charged whether you get a single phone call or not.

As long as you have a quality website for the person clicking to get to, then the money you spend getting them there should be well worth it. After all, more clicks equal a lot more visitors to your website and a chance to sell them your goods and services. Should you be successful in selling your goods and services, then you will see that PPC will pay for itself time and time again.
